I've shared two stories from my past of where hypnotherapy has had a profound affect on my life... but what exactly is hypnotherapy. What happens in a session?
Because I saw the impact on my Dad's life and health I have always understood the power of hypnosis. But for some it might seem really scary.... (and stage hypnosis doesn't do our reputation any good) it's not about trickery or a performance … in this blog post I want to dispel any concerns...
We have two parts to our brain – the conscious part and what is called the “unconscious” (also called “subconscious”) and the two parts conscious and unconscious have very different roles. Through hypnotherapy, the conscious mind (that busy, analytical part of your mind) is quietened, and we can tap into the powerhouse information that lies within the unconscious mind and make positive changes to thought patterns and habits, that are having a negative impact on your life.
Taking a person into hypnosis state means deeply relaxing them, meditation but we are much more goal orientated in the sessions. And that's why many success driven people are drawn to it. Sports people regularly use self hypnosis or guided visualisation to see themselves reaching their goal.
It is perfectly safe - it is not mind-control or brain-washing. When in hypnosis a person is in a natural and highly effective state. You are always in control of the situation, you are still be in touch with your moral compass and your behaviour.
The more you do hypnosis or self hypnosis and visualise new improved behaviours the better the results and changes you will experience.
You can make changes in a number of areas in your life from STRESS, ANXIETY, FERTILITY, BUSINESS PERFORMANCE, SPORTING PERFORMANCE, SELF CONFIDENCE and WEIGHT.
